Our Choirs
Varsity
The Lovejoy Varsity Choir is the capstone-level choir for students who have advanced vocal and musical skills and at least one year of high school choir. Students must participate in a number of public performances throughout the year and are required to participate in regional and state contests. Students compete in UIL and other various competitions as an ensemble.
Treble Choir
Treble Choir is designed for students new to high school choir. A basic understanding of music fundamentals is helpful but not necessary. Students must participate in a number of public performances throughout the year and are encouraged to participate in regional and state vocal contests. Students compete in UIL and other various competitions as an ensemble.
Tenor-Bass Choir
Tenor-Bass Choir is designed for students new to high school choir. A basic understanding of music fundamentals is helpful but not necessary. Students must participate in a number of public performances throughout the year and are encouraged to participate in regional and state vocal contests. Students compete in UIL and other various competitions as an ensemble.
A Cappella
A Cappella is an audition-only upper-level choir for students who have advanced vocal and musical skills. Students must participate in a number of public performances throughout the year and are required to participate in regional and state contests. Students may compete in UIL and other various competitions as an ensemble. These students will develop skills in a cappella performance and will perform in high level jazz, pop, and madrigal styles. Students must be concurrently enrolled in a Varsity Choir along with A Cappella.
